Can a GP treat reflux online?
Yes. Your GP can talk through your symptoms, suggest changes that help and prescribe where appropriate. Ongoing symptoms may need tests.
When should I worry about gastro?
Get help if you can't keep fluids down, have blood in your vomit or stools, severe pain, or signs of dehydration.
Can I get a certificate for gastro?
Yes, if the GP finds it appropriate. It's emailed after the consult.
How is IBS diagnosed?
Usually from your symptoms, after tests to rule out other causes. Your GP can arrange them.
Do you refer for scopes?
Yes. If you need a gastroscopy or colonoscopy, your GP can refer you to a specialist.
