Confidential, judgement-free care

Sexual health, handled privately.

Symptoms you'd rather not discuss in a waiting room, a check-up after a new partner, or questions about contraception. Talk to an Australian-registered GP confidentially, by phone or video.

Sexual health

What we can help with

  • Symptoms

Discharge, burning, itching, sores or pain. A GP can talk through what might be going on and what to do next.

  • STI testing

Your GP can request tests, or you can order a 6-in-1 test without a consult through our sister service, STI Clinic Australia.

  • Treatment

If a test is positive or your symptoms suggest an infection, your GP can discuss treatment and send an eScript where appropriate.

  • Contraception

Start, change or renew contraception, and talk through options that suit you.

  • Partner advice

Practical, confidential guidance on letting partners know and when to retest.

  • Prevention

Advice on vaccination, safer sex and how often to test based on your situation.

Can I get an STI test without seeing a doctor?

Yes. Our sister service, STI Clinic Australia, emails you a pathology referral for 6 common STIs for $38.95, with no GP appointment. The lab tests are bulk-billed through Medicare for eligible patients. If you have symptoms, a GP consultation is the better first step.

Is my consultation confidential?

Yes. Your consultation and health information are private and stored securely in line with Australian privacy law.

Can a GP treat an STI over the phone?

Often, yes. Many common infections are treated with medicine your GP can prescribe as an eScript once the infection is confirmed or strongly suspected. Some problems need an examination, and your GP will tell you if so.

What if I think I've been exposed to HIV?

Treatment to prevent HIV (PEP) must start within 72 hours. Go to a sexual health clinic or emergency department straight away rather than booking a telehealth consult.

How often should I get tested?

It depends on your situation, such as new or multiple partners. Many people test once a year; some should test more often. Your GP can advise.
